It's Beginning to Feel like FALL

Finally, as it is November 2, it is starting to feel like FALL!!!!

As I burn my Yankee Candle Autumn Leaves (Casey can attest for it is the best candle known to man - next to Sun & Sand, our obsession with Yankee is unhealthy) and have my socks on, and just enjoy the leaves turning colors, its makes me appreciate every moment in life that I am given.

Starting tomorrow till the end of the school week, I will be subbing at the Middle School as the GT teacher while she takes the 7th graders to Space Camp. I went back when I was in Middle School and it was a blast. Now just an easy day of work these next three days with subbing & then off to Charleston one last weekend before the World of Retail takes my life over with the Holidays!

Day Four

Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot...

1. When will God show me a sign for his plan for me in life. As much as I love staying busy with subbing and working at the Gap, I truly feel that I am missing out on so much not being in my own classroom. To be practicing what I was taught, and to be implementing my awesome ideas, it is just not the same when subbing and being the classroom nazi.

2. When will I get to be the Big Kid I want to be. Living at home stinks - but heck its free and paid for and I have two awesome roomies - My parents. I am lucky to not have bills right now but I mean I just cannot wait to have my own space eventually.

3. When will it really get to be true fall weather and not this hot one day, cold only in the morning weather.

4. What will I do for halloween this year?

5. Will John and I really go to a corn maize this weekend? I love corn maizes! Ask Laine & Amye, they know my love for them :)

6. Where will the future place me. I am anxious with the direction mine and John's relationship is heading, and wondering where will I be next year. He is 99% sure he will not be at Berkeley next year, he wants to get back closer to home or with a new coach, so I wonder where we will be. This whole year apart thing has been rougher than ever; we did it last year, but I had grad school to keep me busy. This year its just I have a lot of sad days where I cannot wait till the weekend, not because I hate weekdays, because I know I will see him.

7. When will I get motivated to put up all my spring/summer clothes and pull out the fall/winter attire.

I love WEEKENDS

After the week I had, I am glad it is the weekend....

Nothing bad happened but it was just either boring, uneventful, emotional, etc. I only subbed one day this week and only worked at the Gap 2 days (Sunday Night Shift [6p-12a] and Thursday Night). Oh yeah, back to why I was asking for prayers and great thoughts on Thursday from Wednesday's post, I got a phone call Monday for an interview at a school in Aiken County School District - Area 5. That is out towards the Savannah River Site. A teacher is having to resign because she is having to go back home to help take care of her parents who are not doing well. As I def. feel bad for her - it was another time for me to interview. I will hear back from them by Monday they said.

This weekend as I have previously blogged I am with John down in Charleston. We have had a great weekend so far as I am blogging and watching the Clemson game. Hopefully they will win. We have had a great Friday and so far a great Saturday. I am so lucky to be with someone who really does understand and is actually there for me and overall a GREAT guy :)

The North Augusta Today was looking for people to interview in the North Augusta area who have are breast cancer survivors.

Well I emailed them & without knowing it my Dad also emailed them. Ha! So they called the house on Wednesday and met at our house on Thursday. The journalist with the NA Today interviewed and took a picture of my mom. I am excited to see the interview in the paper, as I missed her "big debut of celebrity status" since I had to work Thursday night!

Things to Look Forward to....

With all the dullness in my life outside of working at the Gap & subbing.... I do have some events to look forward to.

October 8 - Mom, Dad, Kyle, and I are going to see John's Berkeley Stags play in the homecoming game against Battery Creek.

November 15 - Me, Erin, Mom & Dad are going to see Lady Antebellum at the James Brown Arena :)

Well its not that many events as I was hoping to blog about but I felt that I needed to blog. Also, keep your fingers crossed for me and say an extra little prayer for me tomorrow as I have something going on that may head me in the direction of being more busy.... maybe a job?

i LOVE fall

I love fall! Fall time is one of my favorite times of year with all of the scents, colors changing, crisp cool air with a light weight jacket, football, and my list could go on and on. Just the other day mom brought us home a NEW....wait for it......CINNAMON BROOM!

My family is VERY football oriented. Between growing up with my Saturdays in the Fall time surrounded by Clemson Football, to growing up in a football town where everyone seems to be there on a Friday Night in North Augusta, it just has always been a football kind of fall. This year I have tons of teams to keep up with.

With John coaching the Berkeley Stags down in good ol' Moncks Corner, SC, my family has been following their scores, results, and even a game or two. We have a copy of his schedule on the fridge that daddy likes to mark with W or L. (He does this with North Augusta's too) I went down to the Berkeley/Summerville Game (Week 2) and my friend Brittany from Grad School went with me. First off we got lost, being from North Augusta, I assumed that the stadium was at the High School. Well I should of known better than that, I mean Rock Hill has a stadium shared between two schools, well after we asked a guy on a moped for directions, we were set. (actually he said follow me, after he went 10 mph, we passed and found it ourselves). This game was like being in Texas on Friday Night Lights. Both sides were PACKED to capacity, tons of team spirit, and summerville has a jumbo screen with live playbacks, introducing players, etc.

Now, once in every blue moon, does Clemson play a REALLY good out of conference team, well this year it was the Auburn Tigers at Auburn. I suggested to my family back in the Spring, that this would be an awesome game to go to since it is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience. So after figuring everyones travel arrangements, booking the hotel, we were off to Auburn, AL. We picked John at the ATL airport since he flew in from Charleston (He has meetings on Saturdays from 6am - ?). And then we were off! After parking in some college students front yard for $25, we were ready to tailgate.

The game was tons of fun regardless of the outcome in the end, and was a great experience overall!!!!

I hope this week goes by fast, as I am traveling to Charleston Friday to visit John. Varsity plays on Thursday night this week, so I can hang out with him on a Friday night, can't name the last time that has happened. Okay it happened in August, but still! I want to check out a Farm with a Cornmaize :)

10 interviews later....

Well hello everyone! I have LOTS to update you on but first I had to change my blog to make it more fall Festive! My Friend Casey got me in the mood even more for Fall when reading her posts.



Well right now, I am subbing all throughout Aiken County and still working at Gap/GapKids. I had the opprotunity to interview all over the state of South Carolina was not offered a job at any of them except for a Kindergarten Assistant in Berkeley County. I would of LOVED to be closer to John, but due to monetary concerns, time, and overall to maintain my lifestyle, it would not have been worth it.



We have seen each other everyweekend since he moved away, with either me traveling there or vice versa. We even met in Columbia two weekends ago to travel to good ol' Union for a wedding.



So now I am just a grown woman still on the road to the big kid life with 2 degrees and working PT at the Gap and subbing, hoping this will lead me into God's path that he has destined for me in teaching.
