The Big Move

So yesterday was a day of moving from where I have lived for the past 2 years to being in limbo and living with my Mimi. Mimi lives in Charlotte off of Park Rd. (In proximity of near South Park) She graciously has taken me in so I can finish grad school and work for these remaining 2 months.

Well all week I have been packing and trying to get organized in the same process. Finally come Friday, I was more overwhelmed than ever and at that point ditched the organizational process and just started stuffing boxes.

This was before the boxes started multiplying and somehow take up half of the garage.

Thankfully my parents came up to help me move and my Mimi came over to help as well. I have finally hit the 39 days till graduation mark, and I have tons to do before I get to it. In a little while I will be heading back to Rock Hill to clean the house and say goodbye to my home of the past 2 years!

Pledge Fabric Sweeper

This evening I decided to head to Target and pick up some necessities that were either on sale or I had a coupon for :) (Who Doesnt Love a Good Deal?!?!)

Well in the process of this whole moving and packing ordeal, I have come to realize some rugs that I have recieved from my parents in the past as COVERED in dog hair. Now you may say Megan, I did not know you had a dog.... well I didn't own the dog, my old roommate did. Little Shadow....Well Shadow left his little presence known all over the house. Well on my rug there was ton of his fur. Well to get ready to pack and move, I decided to purchase the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair today at Target. Thank goodness for the $1 off coupon in today's paper.

Well needless to say, it does do its job and sometimes you don't realize how much hair is on something. The cool thing is you can see the product accumulation in the clear portion. And you get a little upper arm work out by scrubbing that thing side to side. Haha!

Packing

For all who may know me, I am a technology junkie, hence the reason I am in Grad School. This May I will be completing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with Educational Technology. I read ALOT of blogs on different matters, and decided maybe I should blog?!?

Over the past month, I have been packing and securing my belongings as I will be moving on from the great land of Rock Hill and finishing my remaining months left in Grad School living with my Mimi. I always knew I had a lot of "stuff" but never realized how much "stuff" someone can accumulate over the course of 2 years living in ONE place. And to top it off, all of the miscellaneous teacher stuff (childrens books, after holiday sale items, etc) is added to the mix. Some days I come home in the mood to pack pack pack, while other days (majority of them) I do not want to pack and would rather let me room remain to look like I have been robbed. Maybe tonight, since Desperate Housewives is not on, I will become SUPER PACKER, and get alot done....

Okay lets get real....maybe only a little packing tonight mixed with a little Chardonnay.
