What I'm Loving Wednesday!!!

I am linking up with Jamie with her What I'm Loving Wednesday!!!

This Wednesday I am loving that it is almost the weekend. We had the first two days off for Snow Days, a 2 hour delay today and then the kids come tomorrow while Friday is a Teachers Workday!

Also I am loving that I am going to see my wonderful fiance this weekend and that we are looking and buying (hopefully) him a car this weekend!!!!

What are you loving?

Cabin Fever

Cabin fever has evolved in the Sink house on Snow Day #2. I am very thankful that tomorrow I am able to see my 22 third graders and go back to the best little school in the whole wide world :).

Today, Erin (My MOH) and I went to Target & Staples. They are my weakness. Staples I found an AMAZING deal on sentence strips. They must of been left over from some clearance clearout because I got the long ones for 50 cents a pack. All my teacher friends know that this is a STEAL. I only grabbed one pack intially. I got to the parking lot - looked at my reciept and ran back in leaving Erin to start up the car.

Thankfully Aiken County has graciously allowed us to return to school tomorrow on a 2 hour delay. Now only to come up with what we are going to do tomorrow since my plans are pretty much shot for the week and will now become next weeks plans.
How did you spend your snow days?

Teacher Blogs

I loathe to read Teacher Blogs. I could read them all day! I really love to gain insight and ideas to make them my own. The thing is that I cannot find any good and high quality teacher blogs related to third grade. Especially right now with my current state of trying to find worksheets since my projector decided to take a vacation on Tuesday. Oh yes, it decided to break and now wants to travel to figure out if it is to be replaced or repaired.

Oh yes, since I had scanned the quiz to save on copies and to only waste a half sheet of paper, we had to take our quiz the old school way. Thank goodness it wasn't with the overhead (the room i took over had not even used the interactive whiteboard, only overhead), so i kept it real and just wrote my heart out on the board. This picture really wasn't to share, but to remind me what I wrote on the board when grading and since we did not finish the quick check, it was to tell me what I wrote.

Welcome to my life. Everything breaks.

Snow Day 2011

After a weekend spent with John in Charleston, and planning for the upcoming week, the South gets hit with a Snow Storm 2011. Milk and bread was flying off the shelves, as I was heading back to good ol' North Augusta. Instead of sleeping in and enjoying relaxing on my snow day (that i did not want might i add), I got to wake up call with the announcement from John that his car was giving him problems again.

So after finally waking up, and realizing what is going on, and 5 hours later, we have found a car online being sent to Charleston from Columbia and hopefully will be buying "us" a new-to-us Toyota Camry.

Goodbye Blazer, Hello Sedan

Hopefully, I will be down in Charleston for my long weekend with a new car in our possession. His friends at school must like him alot because they are going to pick him up and take him to work and help us save some money and not have to rent a car. I mean he is a catch, who wouldn't like John?!?

Back to Snow Storm 2011, Snow in the south is like a once in a liftime experience it feels like. I thought moving home to North Augusta was going to make my snow days slim to none. During my time at Winthrop in Rock Hill, SC, we atleast had one or two snow days a year. We even had a fire day my last year in graduate school. Another story for another time.....
